A Differentiated Product

Existing treatment for TKA patients who have not achieved at least 0° of extension by the seventh post-operative day involves physical therapy modalities targeted at gradual stretching, including hanging weights, extension boards and drop-out casts. The efficacy of these treatments varies depending on the amount of scar tissue present.

KneeMD is different because it is an easy to use, portable device that puts patients in control of their rehabilitation. Post-operative knee patients can effectively stretch and rotate their own knees – at home, on the road and even in the pool – without the aid of a physical therapist. Patients can also adjust the frequency, duration and intensity of therapy so they can work on their rehabilitation on their own schedule, with less pain.

Orthopedic surgeons and physical therapists who have been introduced to KneeMD universally agree that KneeMD should be used on 100% of patients recovering from TKA and other major knee surgeries.
